Examples of Custom Short Programs
· Two-week program in Washington and New York City for Korean NGO leaders examining the role of NGOs in U.S. elections and Media. The Program included site visits and networking opportunities at various places including World Bank, Fleishman-Hillard, NBC News, C-Span, Emily’s List, America Speaks, The League of Conservation Voters, Common Cause, Ford Foundation, United Nations, New York Republican Committee, and McManus Democratic Association. Tours of Washington and New York City, meals lodging and transportation were also arranged.
· One-week conflict analysis program in Washington for a private college involving undergraduates studying the Israeli/Palestinian crisis. This program included planning with campus faculty, detailed briefing books, structured workshops, distinguished guest speakers, and site visits and networking opportunities at government departments (e.g., Department of State, U.S. Congress), nonprofit organizations (Search for Common Ground, Americans for Peace Now), think tanks (Middle East Institute, Institute for Palestinian Studies), advocacy organizations (AIPAC, Arab American Institute), and embassies (Jordan, Israel).
· 3–day public university program for students interested in public service careers. The program agenda included site visits, workshops and workbooks.
· 2-day DC orientation session for arriving fellowship/practicum students studying and interning in DC for two semesters.
